Trip and changes

During last term I was living with my brother here in santiago. Before that I was living with him and my cousin, but he left.
At that time, I had to do almost every houseworks, because my brother was untidy and he didn´t collaborate too much.
Although, I liked to live with my brother, but at the end of the semestre he traveled because he got a scholarship for a year in his university.

At university I had new subjects, like radio. I liked this one, because it was funny, but very stressful. The exam of this subject was a radio program of the topic that we decide, and I was the announcer of my group. I was really nervous, but then everything was okay.

During the summer I went to Brazil with three friends more. I enjoyed a lot this travel, because I´ve never been there before. We could visit beautiful beaches and met very nice people.

I hope that next summer I can travel to another place that I don´t know to make the most of time before I have to start to work.

My english blog

Well, for my last task I have to write about my experience of blogging in english class. I think that it was a very good idea and a very good way to improve my english.

I believe to practice will do the master, so if we write to this blog each class, and then we check the corrections, we can write better. These are some advantages of blogging in english class, but also this blog has some disadvantages to me, for example, sometimes it was difficult for me start to write, because I don´t know what write. And the topics about we have to write were a little boring to me.

Nevertheless, I think that blogging is a modern and common way to comunicate, and it is a very useful tool to learn any new language. And it isn´t just an individual homework, it is a group work, because you have to write comments in classmate´s blogs, and also you had the corrections of your teacher.

Always I think that blogs are a way to meet to the rest of the class, and know how they think and things relative to our career, journalism. Because, this class had student of different courses, so is difficult for us meet everybody.

Dreaming...

Well, if I would have to choose my ideal job, I think that I prefer work as a productor editor on TV channel or traveling around the world and writing about different countries, like in a travel magazine.

I like these jobs because I can see me in a few years doing that. Really I don´t know if I will be good in these jobs, but I would try to do my best.Also, I would like to travel and know different places, food, people, etc.

In both jobs I would have to use all tools and knowledges that I had learnt at university, and also I would have to use my creativity and personality.

Maybe it would be difficult find jobs like these, because they are better than writing all day in a office. I think so.

But, I will have to be satisfied with my future job, even if it doesn´t is my perfect or ideal job. I prefer don´t expect so much, I will just try to make my job the best that I can.

My favourite subject

I think that my favourite subject in this semester is radio. I like it because is something new for me and I believe that is interesting the technology that we have to use.

We have learnt how to use the study and the PC program "adobe audition" to make effect in our reportages with music and sound effects. Also, we had to learn to write for radio, because is very different compares to write for a newspaper like we use to do.

The teacher who I chose is Antonella Estévez, she works in radio station of Universidad de Chile.

For our exam this semester we have to make a radio program in real time during 30 minutes. In my group I have to be the presenter, so I know that I am going to be so nervous before that day.

I could see that working in radio is stressful, because you have to do everything under pressure.

Uncertain future

Five years from now is a long time to know what exactly I will be doing. To be honest, I don´t have plans for my future. Now, I can´t imagine how I will be in the future. Maybe I will be a journalist or I will be study another thing, really everything it can happen.

But, I know that I wouldn´t like work in the news as a reporter, I preffer work on research or production area.

I would like to be working in something that I like me, but before that I would like to travel to know different places and people. I would like to study in another country, to improve my english and live new experiencies.

I think that I will be living in Santiago, and I hope keep in touch with my best friends of school and university, and obviously be near of my family.

And the most important, be happy and enjoy what I am doing and I hope contribute to society with my work.

Journalism?

To be honest, until today I am not sure about my career. Really, I never was sure about it. Journalism wasn´t the career that I always wanted, I made my decision to study this one, because it was the only one in wich I can imagine my future.

But, I think that journalists are necessary in our society, because they have to show different realities, and keep informed people.Today, journalism are over-saturated because every year a lot of students end this career, this is the reason why is very difficult for us to get a good job.

Actually, my favorite subject is radio, because is something new for me, and I think that I have learnt many things related with radio and their use. But, I don´t know if in the future I will work on it.

Well, nobody knows what will happen tomorrow, so maybe I will work in something completely different to journalism, or maybe not.

Beautiful place

I chose this picture because it brings me memories of my last summer trip in Brazil.

This picture was taken in Florianópolis, because I went there with three friend in last January.
We spend almost fifteen days in Brazil and we visited a lot of beautiful places, specifically beaches with white sand and water not too cold.

This picture was taken by one of my friends and it shows "Mole" beach in Floripa. One of the most beautiful for me, because it had very big rocks and it was so long.

I remember how spectacular it was. And the weather was perfect to sunbathe and look nice people.

When I look this picture I really want to be there, without worries, without know even which day or what hour it is. But, I have to come back to the reality and I just have to remember this unforgettable trip.
